How to give a newborn a bath

Newborn babies generally aren’t submerged in water until the umbilical cord falls off at about two weeks old.  At that point baby can be bathed in an infant tub on the counter or table.  You’ll want to gather all your supplies before you begin.  Once you put the baby in the water please don’t take your hands off.  Never leave your baby unattended in the infant tub, don’t answer the phone, don’t answer the door.
