Teaching kids to tie shoes may sound like no big deal, we take our ability for granted. But if you really consider how to break it down, for a small person accustomed only to velcro shoes, you’ll likely see that it is a big deal for the small person. The first thing to look for is readiness. Eye-hand coordination and the ability to follow 3 or more instructions are probably your best indicators.
